Many Killed as suicide bombers attack media houses in Nigeria

Explosions today rocked Thisday office in Jabi district, Abuja the Federal Capital Territoy. There are several dead and injured in the ThisDay blast but no accurate figure has been made available.

Eye witness accounts shows that Buildings around the area are seriously damaged. A popular Rukkayat plaza next to the THISDAY office also suffered the explosion as the plaza that houses business offices and accomdates the First Bank of Nigeria was caved in.

Actual Level of casualty from the explosion yet unknown but witnesses say at least one dead body have been sighted. Emergency rescue ongoing

The bomb blast at ThisDay office was carried out by a suicide bomber who drove into the building before detonating the bomb.

Meanwhile, another Bomb explosion has been reported from Kaduna, reports shows Blast In Kaduna Kills 10 Near Thisday Newspaper’s Bureau Offices and the Sun newspaper also affected.

The attack, is the second one on the newspaper today, occurred along Kontagora road by Ahmadu Bello way in Kaduna. The suspected bomber was said to have been arrested.
