CNPP Renews Demand for Allison-Madueke, Lamido, Azazi Sack

The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) renewed its demand that President Goodluck Jonathan must immediately sack all the compromised officials working with him or face the wrath of Nigerians, who are daily growing disappointment with his government, in the coming weeks.
The CNPP said its demand is specifically for Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Allison-Madueke; CBN Governor, Sanusi Lamido and National Security Adviser, Owoeye Azazi to resign their post in view of their being compromised or Mr. President must do the needful by sacking them.
A statement by CNPP Secretary General, Chief Willy Ezugwu said “It beggars belief that these characters remain in office and continue to parade themselves as agents of change and development to the international community when their peers in other climes would be serving jail terms for half the crimes these compromised Nigerians have committed here.”
The statement said Diezani Allison-Madueke has remained recalcitrant and continues to insult Nigerians daily with her latest ploy to further effect increased price regime for petrol at a time when a House of Representatives probe report has confirmed that massive theft took place under her present watch at the Ministry of Petroleum. “Allison-Madueke has full responsibility for all the theft of subsidy money that took place under her watch and should at least pretend to be remorseful enough to resign.” CNPP said.
It said it is now obvious that Sanusi Lamido sold the entire nation a dummy when he claimed to have cleansed the banking sector as his ethnic and personal agenda are now well known while massive job losses in thousands are now the confirmed dividend of the Lamido styled banking reform. “The humiliation suffered by Sanusi Lamido at a bankers committee meeting that made him embarked on a vendetta mission to wreck some commercial bank is now common knowledge. How else do you explain that a bank was able to buy up another bank it owed N20 billion to under the Sanusi Lamido abracadabra?”
“His questionable donation of public fund in his home state and the subsequent firefighting to stem the resulting public outcry has shown that this man is a fanatical ethnic jingoist who has no place in a country striving for national integration.” The conference said.
CNPP said President Jonathan must not wait for the present insecurity in the country to kill off Nigerians and turn everywhere to a graveyard before firing Azazi as the National Security Adviser. “After all, Azazi has told Nigerians that he knows that the PDP is the cause of country’s problems, yet he cannot arrest the people he has identified as the source of the nation’s headache. This man has almost N1 trillion at his disposal to combat the insurgency that has placed this country on the list of near-failed states and there is nothing to show for it, instead the armed insurrection against the state grows bolder by the day. It is now public knowledge that heads of foreign missions in Nigeria now refer to Azazi as the leading contractor of the nation.” The group said.
CNPP urged President Jonathan to be mindful of the international implications of allowing compromised characters like these to continue to be associated with his government and by implication the image of the nation. It said these compromised people around President Jonathan contribute to the growing criticism of the President and the total lack of esteem that citizens now hold what should have been the number one position in the land.
